The first thing I noticed about the Saucony Grid Excusions was the cushioning in the heel - it is very soft, but just the right amount. It feels like the heel is maybe a little bit to much cushioned compared to the forefoot, but that is probably good for trail running, where you are bumping into rocks and roots.
Overall, I think the Excursions are a good, comfy shoe, and I could definitely see myself wearing them for a long time.
