I put the Women’s Nike Air Zoom Vomeros through their paces during a track workout, paying careful attention to the specifics of these running shoes so that I can give you an honest and helpful review.
Vomeros at the Track:

The Vomero is *the softest shoe* I’ve ever worn. Seriously! Running on them is like running on pillows. The marshmallowy plushness is perfect for some runners, but is certainly not for everyone. The Vomeros are designed for neutral runners who need a cushioned running shoe. Thea are helpful for underpronators, but overpronators probably won’t get enough support from these shoes. They are recommended for medium to larger runners - the cushioning helps to absorb impact and protects larger runners’ joints.
The women’s Nike Air Zoom Vomero is an update of the Nike Precept. The changes in the update include a re-design of the heel that secures the runner’s heels in place giving the Vomeros a more snug fit. They are also built on a wider last than the originals to accommodate a wider variety of runners.
They are cushioned with Zoom air cushioning in the heel and the forefoot - this is what gives the Vomeros their plushness. Stretchy panels on the sides of the midfoot are positioned to conform to a wide variety of foot shapes comfortably. Nike aligned the flex grooves in the women’s Vomero to complement the female anatomy.
When I started running in these shoe, one of the first things I noticed was the super sticky grip. I felt very connected to the ground and trusted the Vomeros to keep my feet secured to the ground.
In researching the evolution from Vomero 2 to Vomero 3, I read that one of the biggest changes in the design is the introduction of support for the cuboid bone. The cuboid is a larger bone in the outer part of the midfoot. You can see the support in the pictures below comparing the Women’s Vomero 2 to the Women’s Vomero 3. See the extra treads on the outside of the shoe, directly across from the arch? The reason for this is to make the gait more even and smooth out the transition from footstrike to toe off.

I’m on my third pair of Vomeros so I guess you could say I like them. I started with the Vomero+ 2 and am now on my second pair of the Vomero+ 3’s. They’re the higher end version of the Pegasus shoes and I love their cushioning! The only thing I noticed is a bigger toe box from the 2 to 3.
The Vomeros are very comfortable (almost too comfortable). They are durable, breathable and are good for distance running.
This is a nuetral cushion shoe that is also fairly light weight (10.5 oz). I’ve been using this shoe for a few months now. The cushion is incredible; I no longer experience pain in my hips when running long distances. It also has a roomy toe box - no blisters.
The downside is that the shoes are lacking support. I’m thinking about changing out the insoles to remedy this.
Overall, a very nice running shoe for someone who doesn’t pronate.
