I purchased the GT1110 to have a Gore-Tex shoe for running trails and to keep my feet dry while running on snowy, slushy roads. After over 100 miles I am quite pleased.
It’s very effective at keeping my feet dry and has great traction on snow and trails. It’s also a very durable and nice looking shoe that shows no apparent signs of wear.
The only negatives I have found are relatively minor ones. The inside ankle area comes up a bit high and is not as comfortable as it could be, but doesn’t really rub or chafe. The insole is also not as cushioned as I like, but it’s an easy fix with an after market sockliner. The tread is also really terrible on ice, but the shoe is not designed for that purpose–YakTrax make it a perfect Winter trainer.
Overall I am quite happy with the shoe and will likely buy another pair next year.
