I had REALLY looked forward to this shoe, as I am a big fan of the predecessor, the 902. And I thought the new coral orange color was really flashy.
New Balance used the exact same sole and midsole for the 903, but they cut the upper MUCH more generously. I wore an 8D in the 902, but the 8D was far too large in the 903. I bought a pair of 7.5Ds, but even then the fit was kind of sloppy. I didn’t prefer this shoe to the glove-like 902 and don’t feel it was an “upgrade,” so I ended up ordering 3 more pair of the discontinued 902.
