These shoes were great for trails and versatile enough for races that include diverse terrain. Unfortunately, on the four pairs that my husband and I have had combined, the tread on the bottom breaks away from the base of the shoe relatively quickly. I wouldn’t recommend these shoes for long-distance trail running/adventure racing, but they may be fine for shorter stuff.
