For me the most obvious feature of the Brooks Adrenaline is a pillow of cushioning that runs along the center of the shoe from the toes to the heel. It is just the perfect amount of softness so that you know it’s there, but it isn’t obtrusive. They are super comfy with lots of protection and cushioning, especially in the forefoot.
The Adrenalines provide for a very nice and smooth transition from heel to toe.
They have a nice width and and fit my (rather wide) feet quite well.
I’ve been wearing Brooks Adrenaline’s FOREVER! They are really wonderful for controlling my feet and keeping them snugly in place with loads of support. I’m currently on my fifth pair in about 2 years. Every time I need a new pair, I try on a few other brands and models, but none of them even come close to my Adrenalines! I think they are perfect for mild over pronators and I’d definitely give my recommendation to anyone in that category.
I never realized the difference a good pair of running shoes could make until I laced up my Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7 last year. Since then I have moved on to the Adrenaline GTS 8 and love them. I have narrow feet and enjoy the snug fit these shoes offer me.
I have been racking up the mileage with them, running about 40-50 miles per week since the last week in September. They are still holding strong and looking great. Although, I have noticed with Brooks that I tend to wear out the outside soles before the inside cushion goes.
In general I think Brooks makes a great running shoe. I am just lucky I found their right style that satisfies me.
decent shoe for non-technical trails. medium cushioning & fairly stable. even felt good for a marahon (1/2 trail;1/2 road). i liked the earlier version of the ASR better, it seemed to get bulkier with this model.
I LOVE love love this pair of shoes. I have been running since 1998 and have tried just about very brand out there only to find that I am definitely a Brooks girl through and through.
I have been using the GTS 8 for my training for my fourth and fifth marathons. I went and bought a second pair recently because after 400 miles, I can tell I’ll need a new pair by race day.
These feel light on my feet and have a good bit of cushion. When I first got them, I really did feel like I was running without shoes (except that my feet didn’t hurt like they might if one runs barefoot!).
I will never wear another brand, and I’m pretty sure that I’ll keep buying this model unless they make changes to it that I don’t like.
