The Ketchikan is reasonably rugged and I think it would do well on rocks and in the dirt during trail runs. I thought the bottoms were quite inflexible and wouldn’t be good for road running - the shoes are probably not the best contender for someone who wants to do both road and trail running.
The support is more than I prefer, but I could see it being good for someone with lower arches than mine who wanted more support.
Overall, I think it is a pretty good shoe, especially for the low-ish price.
