Monday’s hill run was incredible. It ended up being just me and my boyfriend, so we turned it into a date
I had a bottle of Malbec I had brought back from Italy in my closet so we put it into a backpack along with a couple of glasses. We ran up to the top of Tank Hill again and had an alcoholic picnic. MMMMM! It is sooo amazing to sit and watch the city twinkle with airplanes circling and cars winding their way around the hills. Plus my boyfriend was wearing tights…hilarious!
My goal is to start going to other running clubs in the city and recruit some hill runners. I sorta think wine drinking at the top of the hills should maybe become a habit… ha ha!
I’m planning a strength workout for today and then maybe some stairs. I think I’m a freak for loving the stairs so much!
I started meditating recently and am very hooked on it. I did a 5 day Buddhist meditation retreat a couple years ago in Thailand, but haven’t been good about keeping up with it. I’ve been feeling super distracted and like my brain is getting messy lately, so I thought that maybe meditation would help. It totally does! It makes me so happy and it inspires me to get organized. Plus I really think it turns me into a kinder and more compassionate person.
Wanna know what meditating in Thailand looks like? Check it (notice the, ahem, bed):

Wine on top of a hill.. that certainly would make hill running a lot more fun!
Wine at the top of a hill might motivate me to do some hill training =). (I may have to steal this date idea…of course I would make my hubby carry the wine up the hill!)
I love hearing the snipets of all your world adventures…so COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just wanted to say thanks so much for the tip about fresh herbs!
That sounds like my kind of run!
Ooh, I LOVE the idea of wine at the top of a hill run. A friend of mine put a couple of our favorite beers in a cooler last Summer for us to enjoy at the end of a 5 miler. We also wandered over to an ice cream stand post-run…so much for any calories burned. But beer and ice cream post Summer run is really a great treat.
You look too happy for that bed
photo reminds me of yoga for some reason.
Haha love the blog title!
Wow, your hill run with Malbec sounds sooooo awesome. Seriously, jealous. I think that’s a great idea. I think I need to try that with Duane. BTW, you look soooo pretty in that photo!!!
That’s a great photograph. Hills and stairs. You just love working against gravity!
What a cute date! I bet it was gorgeous.
You had me at wine.
