I bought these shoes at the local running store. It was a debate between this pair and another. According to the salesperson these shoes are “dang comfortable”. I give it a 3 star rating. The fit is pretty good for a neutral shoe, but I tend to get blisters on a few of my toes when I run in them. I’ve tried different socks, doubling up and nothing seems to correct them. After about 5 miles, I have a pretty good blister. These have become my short run shoes and for that they seem to work really well. The cushioning is average, but I wouldn’t say “dang comfortable”. I’d recommend this shoe for the casual jogger who is not putting in a lot of miles and could use a good shoe for around the house also. The price was a good value also.
My feet are moderately under prontated, and I’ve been 100% comfortable in these shoes. I’ve been a big fan of Mizunos for a long time, and the Wave Rider is without a doubt my favorite from this brand. I’m currently wearing version 12, but had worn version 9 & version 11. They have all been great, with just the perfect amount of support and cushioning.
I am a pretty big guy. About 235lbs and 6′4″. So I do need good cushioning, and these suit the job!
